How Signing HELPS Communication Skills for the Young Child
Families may believe if we, as childcare professionals, use signs with children that it may inhibit them from talking. The OPPOSITE is true.
Using signs can:
-Reduce frustration and tantrums
-Increase self-confidence and independence
-Improve multi-sensory learning and brain development
-Bridge communication skills
This workshop will focus on what signs to use with young children and activities to introduce signs to improve communication.
Date and Time: Wednesday, November 15 from 1-2:30
Location: Pediatric Interactions (649 Barron Blvd, Grayslake)
Cost: $15 or $10 per staff member if attendees are from the same setting.
