Thao Witbeck, MS, CCC-SLP/L

Thao was born and raised in the Lake County area. She has been married to her college sweetheart, Cameron, for 3 years. In her spare time, Thao loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her dog, Loki. When she can, she loves to travel, especially to Marquette in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where she attended college, or to Vietnam to visit her Dad's family. She enjoys singing for fun and has sung the national anthem in front of a crowd of 900 people! Thao likes to watch reality competition shows and anything 'Gordon Ramsey.'

For her undergraduate degree, she ventured to Michigan, where she received her bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. She received her master's degree in Communication Disorders from Minot State University, in North Dakota. Thao started at Pediatric Interactions when she was a graduate student intern and was happy to join the PI team after that. She has experience working with children in Early Intervention, Autism, Behavioral Management, Receptive/Expressive Language delays, Alternative/Augmentative Communication (AAC), and more. She also enjoys working with bilingual families. In the past year, she received training for the Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD), which is a low-tech communication device. She has been excited to share this information with others at PI.

We love working with Pediatric Interaction. They are easy to work with (even send text reminders), have a nice facility, and we looove our therapist! (Ms. Thao) They host lots of extra educational and fun activities too, and are very involved in the community (we loved their table at Grayslake trick-or-treating with inclusive goodies for all). Highly recommended! 3/1/19
Even though Thao has only been here 3 times, we feel she is a great for for our family! I can tell she loves her job! 5/16/2017
