Pam Kavanagh, MSW, LCSW, practiced school social work for fifteen years, followed by medical social work. As a social worker, Pam has experience working with children who were adopted, were in the process of becoming adopted, and foster children with their perspective families.

In 2010, after years of attempting to become parents on their own and undergoing a string of fertility treatments, Pam and her husband John, began the journey toward adopting. The process was long and required a great deal of introspection, communication, and education. Pam and John were able to adopt Teagen in 2011 and Kye in 2013.

Parenting is an adventure. The learning never ends! Adoption is a part of what makes their family who they are. Pam and her husband John have shared their experience with prospective adoptive parents at The Cradle and with High School Students at an area school.
