Summer Bucket List

Now that the school year is coming to a close, if you’re anything like me, you’re already busy planning (or have planned) what you’d like to do over the summer. In recent years I have heard more and more people talking about making a summer bucket list of everything they want to do. I LOVE this idea. It can be a great way to involve the whole family in creating memories that will last a lifetime. It doesn’t need to be expensive or fancy, it can be as simple or involved as you’d like. Here are some ideas to start your bucket list:

-Get everyone involved! Regardless of the ages of your children, ask each of them to contribute ideas for what they would like to do this summer
-Write it down! You can use a giant poster board, create a list or put it on a calendar.
-Consider the cost! Many items on your list can be free or inexpensive. Check out your local library and park district programs. For more expensive bucket list items, look for coupons or passes you can use.
-Start crossing items off your bucket list! The summer will be over before we know it so get out there and start crossing items off your list. The laundry and dished will always be there, but summer days will not.
-Be sure to add PI’s Summer Party on 6/24 to your list!!
