MONKEY OF THE MONTH: Ms. Griselda is one of our part-time speech therapists at Pediatric Interactions. She works full time at an acute care hospital with adults. She enjoys listening to audio books when she is driving in between her jobs. Currently, she is listening to “Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High” by Al Switzler, Joseph Grenny, and Ron McMillan. Griselda enjoys living an active lifestyle. After a long day at work, she turns to lifting weights at the gym to help her unwind and destress. Her most recent fitness endeavor has been joining Ohana Martial Arts academy where she receives training in the areas of Brazilian Jiujitsu, striking, and Muay Thai. Not only does Griselda admire the skill, discipline, passion, and technique that is involved in learning martial arts, but she also appreciates the life lessons that can be learned from doing something that pushes your boundaries and encourages you to pick yourself up every time you are knocked down.

The family also makes an effort to take fun, nature-centered vacations every year and have enjoyed many beach vacations and trips to northern Wisconsin.
